"Class, I'd like you to meet-- Yunseok, late again I see."

The whole classroom erupted into laughter and Sanghyuk glanced up from the textbook he was pretending to read just as Yunseok strolled into the classroom, before looking back down, not noticing the other student standing off to the side, a little behind the teacher.

Some obnoxious student yelled, “We already know the late kid,” and Sanghyuk had to grip his pencil tightly in his hand to keep from rolling his eyes. The other students were so immature, sometimes he could barely stand it.

There was a loud sigh from the teacher. “Class, settle down, I’m trying to introduce the new student.”

Yunseok walked carelessly to the back of the classroom and sat down, propping his feet up on the empty chair in front of him, and closed his eyes.

“Class, Class, listen…” the teacher continued, “I’d like you to meet Yoo Hoseok. He’s new here so please help him feel welcome.”

Hoseok stood there, half hidden behind the teacher, and looked shyly out at the class as he bit his bottom lip nervously and clung to his school bag so tightly that his knuckles had begun to turn white.

"Ah... lets see. It looks like there's an empty desk in front of Yunseok," the teacher said, nodding to Hoseok before returning her attention to the blackboard where she had been writing out math problems.

Hoseok walked slowly towards the empty desk, blushing at the intensely curious looks he was receiving from everyone in the class, and paused, glancing at Yunseok’s feet, which were currently occupying his seat.

“Um…” he said softly, setting down his bag, “E-excuse m-”

“Yunseok.”

Hoseok looked up and saw him. The student from the principal’s office. He was leaning over and prodding Yunseok with a pencil. “Yunseok, wake up and move you feet.”

Yunseok looked over at the other student. “Ow, Sanghyuk, what-”, and then he looked up at Hoseok. “Oh.” He lazily moved his feet, rubbing the place where he’d been prodded, and muttered a “Sorry,” before laying his head down on the desk and going back to sleep.

Hoseok sat down slowly and looked over at Sanghyuk with a shy smile, doing his best to keep from blushing. “Thank you.”

“No problem,” Sanghyuk replied, smiling back at the shy boy before returning to his book.

After Jonghyuk ran off, Taehyung went to the library. He walked inside and said hello to the librarian before walking back through the tall shelves of books, seeking an abandoned desk in a forgotten corner, and sat down, putting his book bag on the desk.

It was to this corner, this desk, that Taehyung liked to come whenever he had free time. It was quiet. Possibly the only quiet place in the entire crazy school. And Taehyung liked it.

He came here to write.

Writing was Taehyung’s passion. He filled notebooks with his stories, his thoughts, and his deepest secrets.

Lately however, his writing had become rather peculiar, because Taehyung was… for lack of a better word, obsessed with one Woo Yunseok. Taehyung couldn’t get the student off of his mind. So he’d fill his notebooks with doodles of Yunseok’s name, and even worse, little stories about the two of them dating.

Taehyung had it bad.

He reached into his bag to pull out his notebook and paused in disbelief. It had to be in there. He panicked, taking the bag and dumping everything out to dig through it, before collapsing into his chair in defeat.

It was gone. His notebook was gone.

And he knew exactly who had it.

Yunseok didn’t wake up until lunchtime, and when he did, it was only because of the excited girls crowding around the poor boy in front of him. He yawned, stretching his arms, before reaching into his bag to get out his sandwich.

“Oooh, Yunseok, your girlfriend’s here.”

He looked over at the door just as Jonghyuk ran into the classroom, waving his arm. “Yuuunseok~” he said loudly, ignoring the insults from the other students. He glanced at Hoseok, who was occupying the seat Jonghyuk usually sat in for lunch, and then shrugged, sitting on the edge of Yunseok’s desk.

“Who is that, anyway?” he asked, snatching Yunseok’s sandwich away and taking a big bite. “…ew, what is this?”

“He’s a new kid. And it’s tuna,” Yunseok replied, taking his sandwich back.

“Exciting,” Jonghyuk replied, digging around in his bag and pulling out Taehyung’s notebook. “I wish I was in your class, I’m so bored without you all the time.”

“You know your dad separated us to keep us out of trouble.”

Jonghyuk laughed, flipping through the notebook. His dad was the school principal, which had both perks and annoying consequences. “Doesn’t really work though, does it?”

Yunseok shook his head, finishing his sandwich, but looked up as Jonghyuk went uncharacteristically quiet.

“What are you reading?”

Jonghyuk had one hand over his mouth to keep from laughing. “Nothing.”

Yunseok tried to peek at it, but Jonghyuk wouldn’t let him see anything, so he shrugged and returned to his lunch.

Sanghyuk was trying to eat but the girls all grouped around Hoseok were really getting on his nerves.

“Hey, ladies,” he said, leaning over towards Hoseok’s desk, “Don’t you think you’ve terrorized the poor boy enough today? Anyway, I’m starting to get jealous~”

The girls giggled, and finally dispersed, going off to gossip amongst themselves.

Hoseok looked over at Sanghyuk gratefully, and Sanghyuk finally got a good look at the new student.

He was gorgeous, with brown hair falling into dark eyes, no wonder the girls had been falling all over themselves to talk to him.

Their eyes met, and for a moment it seemed like time stopped.

But then Hoseok blushed and looked back at his food, and Sanghyuk returned to his.

…What was that?
