Sungmin was not happy. Things were getting very fishy. Ryeowook was being a little aloof, and spending way too much time with Donghae. So now Sungmin wasn’t talking to Ryeowook and was ignoring his very presence, or trying to. But still, Ryeowook wouldn’t tell Sungmin what he was up to. It all started on that day…

5 days ago:

“Ryeo?” Sungmin stuck his head around the entrance of the kitchen to see Ryeowook and Donghae, heads close together… a little too close for Sungmin’s liking.

Rushing forward, Sungmin yanked Ryeowook back and pulled him towards himself, wrapping his arms around the younger boy possessively. As soon as Sungmin did that, Donghae swiftly crumpled up a piece of paper that was on the table and shoved it in his pocket.

“What are you guys doing… together?” asked Sungmin, eyes narrowed, arms tightening around Ryeowook’s chest.

“Hyung, we were just… um… talking about tonight’s dinner course. Donghae Hyung’s going to help me cook a new dish.” Donghae nodded.

Sungmin pouted and spun Ryeowook around. “But you could have asked me for help! You know I’m a great chef!”

Ryeowook smiled and kissed Sungmin on the cheek. “I know Hyung, I’ll ask you next time. Come on, I’ll treat you to ice-cream.”

4 days ago:

Ryeowook woke up in the middle of the night and got out of bed, kissing Sungmin on the forehead. As he made to leave, Sungmin groggily grabbed his wrist.

“Where are you going? I’m cold now.”

“Shhh, I’ll be back in a little bit, I promise.” Giving Sungmin another kiss on the lips, Ryeowook tucked him in again and left. Sungmin turned in his bed and frowned grumpily.

Once out of Sungmin’s room Ryeowook met up with Donghae who looked exhausted.

“Why are we doing this in the middle of the night again?”

“Because Hyung, this way he can’t interrupt us or find out what we’re doing.”

“Right… well here’s the list of people to invite.”

“Thanks Hyung.” Ryeowook smiled and got to work.

3 days ago:

“Ryeowook-ah!!! Come here NOW!”

Ryeowook ran into his lover’s room in a rush with a surprised expression.

“What? What is it Sungmin Hyung?”

Sungmin arranged his angriest look and narrowed his eyes at Ryeowook who had to bite back a smile at how cute the other looked with pouting lips and scrunched up brows.

“I demand to know what you have been up to with Donghae! … You’re not… you’re not planning on leaving me are you?” Sungmin’s angry look was replaced with a worried look, but his irritated expression quickly took over again, as he remembered his task at hand. “Because if you are… I… I won’t stand for it!”

Ryeowook couldn’t hold in his grin any longer. Letting out a light chuckle he pulled Sungmin into a warm hug and gave him a peck. “Don’t worry Minnie, I’ll never leave you.” And with a smile, he was out the door.

2 days ago:

Sungmin waited in his bed patiently for Ryeowook that night. When Ryeowook finally entered, looking refreshed, Sungmin pulled him to the bed and pushed him down.

“Ryeowook-ahh,” Sungmin purred, slowly crawling up. Ryeowook’s eyes widened.

“H-Hyung… what are you doing?”

Sungmin finally reached Ryeowook’s face and leaning down, he slowly licked his left ear. “Ryeowook, you would never hide anything from me right?” He then kissed Ryeowook’s lips, starting a tongue battle that Ryeowook won easily.

“Never…...” Ryeowook moaned as Sungmin sucked on his sensitive neck.

“Then,” Sungmin whispered into his ear, soft as the wind. “Tell me what you and Donghae have been up to lately.”

At that Ryeowook pushed Sungmin to the side a bit. “Hyung, if it’s about that, don’t worry about it. We’re not really doing anything, just working on a project.”

Sungmin stood up quickly and crossed his arms. “Fine.” Then pulling Ryeowook off the bed and shoving a pillow into his arms he said. “You can sleep on the couch tonight. Goodnight.” Sungmin snuggled into his covers and Ryeowook sighed and walked into the living room.

However, instead of sleeping, Ryeowook took advantage the time alone and continued to plan.

1 day ago:

Sungmin finally snapped. Ryeowook was being too secretive and he didn’t like it. He refused to talk to or have anything to do with his lover.

“Kibum-ah, tell Ryeowook that I’m not talking to him.”

“Uh... Ok…” Kibum look at Ryeowook who was sitting right next to him with a weird look and said, “Uh… Hyung? Sungmin Hyung said that—“

“Well you can tell him that he’s going to regret it Kibum-ah.” Ryeowook said, not even looking up.

Kibum paused from being interrupted and shrugged. “Sungmin Hyung, Ryeowook Hyung said that—“

“Well you can tell him that I don’t care!!!” Sungmin said, tightening his hold on the butter knife and viciously buttering his bread.

Kibum rolled his eyes and turned to Ryeowook. “Hyung said that—“

“Well tell him that that’s just fine!” Ryeowook said standing up, knocking his chair down.

Kibum threw his piece of unbitten toast down and stood up with double the force. “YOU TELL HIM THAT!!! YOU PRACTICALLY ARE ANYWAY!! DON’T PULL ME INTO THIS CHILDISHNESS!” Then picking up his toast and glaring at Sungmin and Ryeowook, he left the room.

Kangin and Eeteuk looked up with their mouths hanging open, not sure of what to say.

“Look what you did! You made Kibumie mad!” Sungmin said pointing at Ryeowook accusingly.

“You’re the one who started this whole thing! And I thought you weren’t talking to me!”

“Well if you didn’t keep secrets from me from the start this wouldn’t have happened! And I’m NOT talking to you!” Sungmin threw his napkin down on the table and left in a huff.

Donghae put a comforting arm around Ryeowook and asked, “Are we still following through with the plan?” Ryeowook nodded tiredly.

Present:

Sungmin sat on his bed, playing with his favorite pink stuffed bunny. He had tried everything to figure out what was going on. He had tried asking Ryeowook, being angry, even seduction, but all to no avail. He sighed. He wanted to share everything with his lover, but clearly Ryeowook didn’t feel the same way.

Sungmin crawled under his hot pink comforter. The last thing he thought before he fell asleep was that tomorrow was his birthday and he wouldn’t be able to spend it with the one he loves.

Next day:

Everyone was up and busy, except for Sungmin, who was still in bed. He was awake but he was hiding under the covers. He didn’t want to face the day. It was his birthday; it should be the best day of the year. But without Ryeowook, no matter what the others might have planned, it wouldn’t be good.

Someone opened the door and Sungmin burrowed deeper under the covers. The bed sunk as they sat on the edge of the bed. “Hey sleepy head, are you going to come out some time today?” It was Eeteuk. Sungmin peeked his head out to look at his hyung.

Eeteuk ruffled his hair. “Min, don’t be sad anymore, okay? It’s not what you think.” He pulled Sungmin out of bed. “Come on, come get some lunch.”

Sungmin followed Eeteuk into the kitchen, only to stop in the doorway. There were pink streamers and pink balloons all around the room. “Happy birthday!” His band members called out excitedly. Sungmin smiled looking around the room, but his smile drooped when he realized that Ryeowook wasn’t there.

“Thank you,” he said softly, blowing out the pink candles on his pink cake.

He did his best to be happy and enjoy his pink party, but he was really really mad at Ryeowook.

The party was dying down when Ryeowook finally came in. He grabbed Sungmin by the arm and pulled him out into the hallway. “I know you’re probably still mad at me, but…” Sungmin glared at Ryeowook with his arms crossed. “I’m still not speaking to you.” Ryeowook nodded, “Just trust me and follow me.” Sungmin shrugged and followed Ryeowook as he led him into his bedroom.

“Sungmin-hyung, the reason why I’ve been with Donghae-hyung so much is because he’s been helping me. He planned the group party so that I could plan this one…”

The room was even pinker than the kitchen had been. Every surface in the room had pink draped on it. In the center of the room, pink candles were carefully arranged in the shape of a heart. Sungmin gaped at the room.

Ryeowook shut the door and pulled Sungmin into the room.

“Minnie, “he said softly, “This is why I spent so much time with Donghae Hyung. I didn’t want to make you sad. I just wanted this to be special.” He reached out for Sungmin’s hand and Sungmin didn’t resist.

“I love you so much, please don’t be mad anymore.” Ryeowook said pouting, using his best weapon against Sungmin.

Then Ryeowook pushed a small box into Sungmin’s hands. “For you.” Looking up at him in surprise, Sungmin opened the box. Nestled inside was a ring. He pulled it out carefully and examined it. Inside was carved, “RyeoMin Always”.

A delighted smile slowly spread across Sungmin’s face.

“I have one too, I thought…”

Sungmin threw his arms around Ryeowook before he finished. “I love it.”

Then Sungmin pulled back and looked into Ryeowook’s eyes with love. “I love you.” Then he pulled a stern face and said, “Don’t keep any more secrets from me, okay?”

Ryeowook quickly agreed. “No more secrets.”
